                                        Medical Coding is the conversion of healthcare procedures, equipment used, treatments received, diagnosis into universally accepted alphanumeric codes. These codes are billed to insurance companies to claim insurance for payment purposes. The codes assigned must be precise and accurate as it makes up the whole claim. Medical Coders use a set of assigned codes for coding purposes. Mainly ICD, CPT and HCPCS.

Symptoms may include:

  • Ringing in the affected ear
  • Vertigo or dizziness.
Treatment may include hearing aid and surgery.
